How we work.

By bringing holistic design, curated capability, and humble curiosity to every engagement.

The light & the lens

Siete works in two primary areas: transformation acceleration and senior leadership development. We have seen over many years how the greatest impact happens when both are designed to work together.

Leaders of organisations come to us with a transformation agenda but, much like light, this ambitious energy without focused leadership scatters. It becomes overload, fatigue, and a great plan that only lands in pockets. Leadership development is the lens that steers the energy towards sustainable momentum.

Who you know > where you go

The best people in any field are no longer found exclusively inside large consulting firms or business schools. Siete has built relationships with a carefully selected group of world-class facilitators, consultants and forward-thinking institutions around the world, all of whom have delivered proven results.

This gives us something most firms can't offer: the freedom to assemble the team that is genuinely best suited to your specific need, unconstrained by our own bench.

Uncertainty before progress

We're not going to tell you that we've seen your challenge before. Even when we have, it's not in your context, with your people, or at this moment in time.

Too often our field is supply-led, with firms selling a solution because it has a track record of working somewhere else. We cannot propose a solution until we understand the problem, and that requires 'uncertainty first' before sustainable progress can be made.

Projects

Involving design, resourcing, delivery and co-facilitation.

  • Integrating the Olympic Museum (Lausanne) as the symbolic venue in the design of a Fortune 500 organisation's flagship Strategic Leadership and Diversity Program (Japan, USA, Europe). It was also the ignition point for a global move towards a 'one-company mindset' across 300,000 employees.
  • Leading a 'first principles' team-wide executive development process for a PE business made up of ex-tier-one consulting firm partners, Harvard MBA graduates and Rhodes scholars.
  • Using the 3Cs framework and a virtual video-game relay race to land the impact of change for a UK&I Delivery Director and Engagement Manager change-acceleration process.
  • Creating an unconventional process for executives leading a JV of African and European financial-services powerhouses, getting to know one another, building deeper connections and growing trust.
  • Partnering with executives and a project team of senior leaders to articulate, win buy-in for and commence a group-wide culture and values programme across a multinational Fortune 500 organisation.
  • Harnessing a collective-ownership process in the development of a 'Top 1,000 leadership' programme and the culture integration of 29 companies into a 50,000-person technology services company.
  • Using painting in an art studio and performing songs with a professional pianist to create the conditions for a newly formed Big Four professional-services Exco team to align on a robust strategy.
  • Facilitating a process of collective senior-leadership ownership to align a culture and drive towards client-centricity for recently acquired companies across Africa and Asia.

Leon Boyd Swartz

BSoc Sc (Hons) Organisational Psychology

Leon Boyd Swartz has 15+ years of global experience in the design, facilitation and execution of strategic transformation and leadership development solutions. This includes extensive facilitation work with boards and senior teams, often with a focus on culture, meaningful connections and building trust.

"I'm driven by doing different work that makes a positive impact, and over the years have taken on projects that fall into the bucket labelled 'change'. The nature of these changes are typically transformations of culture, mindsets, strategies and operating models. These processes have often included a parallel requirement for the focused development of senior leaders and managers to meet the demands of the transforming organisation."

Giving back

The Good Work Foundation.

In the rural areas where the Good Work Foundation operates, youth unemployment can soar to an alarming 70%. GWF is working hard at changing that statistic by empowering young people with the skills they need to enter the job market of the future.

GWF has created a sustainable model of learning for rural African communities, delivering digital-era literacy education and career training through community-driven digital learning centres of excellence. These centres give rural learners access to world-class education and cutting-edge technology, immersing them in high-impact learning experiences presented as they would be in the world's most technologically advanced classrooms.

The Open Learning Academy

  • An NGO now 23 years in the making, delivering the Open Learning Academy at six digital learning campuses
  • Connected to a network of 29 rural schools in South Africa's Mpumalanga and Free State provinces
  • Relevant, inspiring learning activities for primary-school learners
  • A Siete benefactor for over 20 years: truly worthy, undeniably smart and community-changing
